Lea Fuchs
VISUAL ARTIST, PAINTER, ILLUSTRATOR
My career path as an artist was not exactly typical and straight. Before I decided to develop my artistic skills, focus on my talent and study painting, I graduated at the University of Economics and Business Administration in Vienna. Oscillating between the worlds of expression and business reality I graduated in arts at the National University of Arts in Bucharest, Romania. Currently, I am working and living in Vienna, Austria.
“By painting archetypal forms and enigmatic figures, Lea Fuchs explores social factors and gender constructions as a major aspect of the human condition. Her specialty is rendering familiar objects in combination with the human body.”
Dr. Renée Gadsden, Art Historian
I am a multidisciplinary artist, best known for high-contrast, strong, vibrant and balanced colorful paintings. Driving creative forces behind my work are Post-Impressionism, Pop-Art, Japanese art, a remarkable sense of color and the fascination about the beauty of the things I see and feel every day. I don’t paint objects, but the emotions they evoke in me.
“The Johari window of Lea Fuchs is her artwork, which sheds light on all facets of the condition humaine. Her visual world opens the windows of perception of the 21st century person. Joyfully, these windows exist for both her and her viewers alike.” – Dr. Renée Gadsden, Art Historian
With gallery shows placed from South to Northern Europe, I am currently expanding my portfolio by applying aerography techniques and working as an illustrator.
